Community Care Fund
The Community Care Fund is a collaboration of local faith-based organizations, local foundations and the United Way who contribute to a general fund distributed to those in need. The fund helps Goodhue County residents who are in crisis and unable to pay for general necessities or living expenses such as rent, food, utilities or transportation. The fund is distributed on an emergency basis and is able to assist approximately 35 families each month.
To qualify for assistance:
- applicants must fill out an application that discloses some budgetary and personal financial information
- applicants must be residents of Goodhue County, MN (with the exception of some Pierce County)
- funds from the CCF must resolve the crisis
- in case of utility or rental assistance, checks from HOPE Coalition must be made out to the agency, and not the individual applying for assistance
The Community Care Fund Office is located at the Friendship House (480 W. 8th Street) in Red Wing and is open Tuesday-Friday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment outside these hours call 651-388-9360, ext 10.
