Mary Weigenant, Yvonne Black and Carmen Edwards

Carmen, Mary (who has passed), and Yvonne were the driving force behind the creation of the original Red Wing Coalition for Transitional Housing, which eventually became HOPE Coalition. Coming from housing backgrounds, Mary and Yvonne with the HRA and Carmen on the HRA Board, they recognized a need in Red Wing and took action. They united representatives from social service agencies across Goodhue County to create a transitional housing program that evolved into HOPE. Their vision, leadership, and dedication laid the foundation for an organization that continues to serve the community today.
